HensleyCPA was formed to provide the North Georgia area the highest quality services in the areas of accounting, tax and advisory services. The principal of the firm, Joe Hensley, has a vast amount of experience in helping clients start, grow, and sell businesses and been involved in practically every discipline associated with the challenging world of business today. That's what "Experience beyond numbers..." means.
HensleyCPA offers services in three broad service categories.
- Accounting services include the compilation of transactions to produce financials and other information suitable to internal use, banking requirements, tax preparation and other uses. This practice area also includes the audit of financial statements as needed by lenders, investors and regulatory entities.
- Tax services include planning and tax minimization, representation and tax return preparation for all types of entities.
- Advisory services include the sharing of experience relative to any number of business endeavors, and the production of targeted solutions to specific projects. We can help in your evaluation of your strategies to maximize profits and your evaluation of projects and experts in many other fields. We can produce documentation needed to support specialized industry requirements in a number of disciplines as well as construct, feasibility studies, impact assessments, and forecasts and projections needed by you as well as by lenders and investors.
HensleyCPA has decades of experience in a number of industries. Expertise in many fields is a great asset in that specific knowledge is immediately available in many disciplines, as well as the additional knowledge to know when to engage additional resources and expertise on a matter, and orchestrate the services necessary to efficiently reach a desired conclusion. Knowing how to solve the problem, and knowing where to look for the right answers are the characteristics of this firm.
HensleyCPA was formed by Joe Hensley. Joe has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1980, and started Hensley CPA, LLC in 2010. Joe graduated in 1978 with highest honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management. He worked for Ernst & Young in Atlanta before moving back to Ellijay, Georgia to work for a local CPA firm. Joe then acquired the firm, and built it into the largest firm in North Georgia with offices in Blue Ridge, Ellijay and Jasper. He served as managing partner of Hensley, Land & Associates, PC for 20 years, before selling the firm and moving on to other ventures in 2000. After three years in the telecommunications business with a Georgia company as General Manager and COO, Joe joined a friend to begin the development of residential communities in North Georgia in 2002. There he was responsible for financial and a variety of other operational areas of a number of interrelated companies. Joe has also served in the financial industry in several other capacities.
Joe was born and raised in Ellijay, Georgia, and currently lives there with his wife Mary, and two of their five children. Joe and Mary's other children live in Georgia. Joe's other interests include music and a variety of outdoor pursuits.
